The pitfalls of work of general nurses on emergency department and emergency room

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku a zhodnocení náročnosti práce všeobecných sester na urgentním a vysokoprahovém příjmu. Teoretická část začíná stručnou charakteristikou urgentní medicíny. Druhá kapitola se zabývá urgentním příjmem, zmiňuje historii, vývoj a jeho strukturu. Součástí této kapitoly je i materiálně technické zabezpečení, které je nezbytné pro poskytování kvalitní specializované péče a nástin stavů, které jsou indikovány k příjmu na urgentní vysokoprahový příjem. Kapitola Profese všeobecné sestry se věnuje osobnosti sestry, konkrétním rolím, které všeobecná sestra zaujímá, ale také všeobecné i specifické náplni práce všeobecné sestry na urgentním příjmu. V teoretické části jsou popsány rizikové a ochranné faktory profese všeobecné sestry a faktory, vyvolávající fyzickou a psychickou zátěž. Věnujeme se také důležitosti správného životního stylu a vhodností realizace supervize na urgentním a vysokoprahovém příjmu. Praktická část práce mapuje úskalí, která přináší práce všeobecné sestry na urgentním a vysokoprahovém příjmu. Hodnotí materiálně technické zabezpečení urgentních a vysokoprahových příjmů, identifikuje faktory ovlivňující fyzickou a psychickou pohodu práce všeobecných sester pracujících na urgentním a vysokoprahovém příjmu a analyzuje jejich zkušenosti se supervizí. Pro účely práce byl zvolen kvantitativní výzkum pomocí anonymních dotazníků.

Abstract:

This thesis provides an evaluation of nurses working in the emergency department and emergency rooms. The theoretical part begins with a brief description of emergency medicine. The second chapter deals with the emergency department, its history, evolution and structure. Part of this chapter also focuses on material and technical equipment that is essential for providing quality specialized care. There are a few examples of situations and patients' conditions deemed serious enough for them to be admitted to an emergency room. The chapter 'nurse´s profession' is dedicated to a nurse´s personality, specific roles and also jobs description in the emergency department. The theoretical part describes the risk and protective factors of the nursing profession and factors causing physical and mental stress. Focus is also placed on the importance of healthy lifestyle choices and the appropriateness of supervision in the emergency department and emergency rooms. The practical part of the research maps the pitfalls associated with the nursing work in the emergency department and emergency rooms. It evaluates material and technical support within emergency department and emergency rooms, identifies the factors affecting the physical and mental well-being of nurses working in the emergency department and emergency rooms and analyzes their experiences with supervision. The survey for the thesis was conducted by a quantitative research method using anonymous questionnaires.
