Abstract:

Primárním cílem této diplomové práce je identifikovat prvky Panafrikanismu v současné stand-up comedy Davea Chappella a Trevora Noaha. Teoretická část práce popisuje myšlenku Panafrikanismu a ideologické variace z něj vycházející, a zároveň historický vývoj černošské satiry v Africe a její diaspoře. Analytická část práce je zaměřená na nalezení spojitostí mezi různými ideologickými koncepty a vystoupeními. Zároveň práce poukazuje na interpersonální dopad na publikum, který může komedie těchto autorů mít.

Abstract:

The primary objective of this thesis is to identify elements of Pan-Africanism in contemporary stand-up comedy of Dave Chappelle and Trevor Noah. The theoretical part describes the idea of Pan-Africanism and ideological variations stemming from it, as well as the historical development of black satire in Africa and its diaspora. The analytical part of the thesis attempts to find connections between various approaches and the performances while pointing out the social impact such comedy has on the audience.
