The Population Development of the Hradec Králové Region after the Second World War

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na analýzu populačního vývoje Královehradeckého kraje od roku 1945 do současnosti. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. V úvodní teoretické části, která je dále rozdělena do několika podkapitol, je obecně definován populační vývoj a nástin samotného vývoje na území České republiky. V další podkapitole jsou popsány jednotlivé demografické ukazatele, které ovlivňují strukturu obyvatelstva. Následuje stručná fyzickogeografická charakteristika samotného Královehradeckého kraje. Úvodní část je obohacena o několik grafů znázorňující věkovou a vzdělanostní strukturu kraje. Praktická část diplomové práce je zejména věnována demografické struktuře Královehradeckého kraje a událostem demografické reprodukce, jako je porodnost, úmrtnost a dalším událostem působících na populační vývoj kraje. Zjištěná demografická data za Královehradecký kraj jsou porovnávána s daty za Českou republiku. Rovněž celá praktická část je doplněna o množství tabulek a grafů, zachycujících získaná data. Poslední čtvrtá kapitola shrnuje celkový vývoj kraje za období po skončení 2. světové války až do přítomnosti.

Abstract:

The present study is focused on the analysis of population development in Hradec Králové region from 1945 to the present. The thesis is divided into four chapters. In the first theoretical part which is subdivided into a number of subchapters, is generally defined population development and an outline of the development itself on the territory of the Czech Republic. Another subchapter describes the demographic characteristics that influence population structure. The following is a short physicalgeographical characteristic of Kralovehradecký region. The first part is enriched with a number of graphs showing age and educational structure of the region. The practical part of the thesis is mainly dedicated to the demographic structure of the Hradec Králové region and demographic reproduction events, such as fertility, mortality and other events, other events that affect the development of the population of the region. Discovered demographic data for Hradec Kralove region are compared with data for Czech Republic. Also a practical part is supplemented by number of tables and graphs showing the acquired data. The fourth chapter summarizes the overall development of the region for the period after the end of the 2nd World War to the present.
