Výchozí hypotézou mé práce je přesvědčení, že existovaly závažné důvody, které Leibnize přiměly k vytvoření vlastního filozofického systému. Podstatnou část jeho systému chápu jako přímou reakci na v té době dominantní karteziánskou filozofii a fyziku, které dle jeho vlastních slov vedly k ateismu. Abstract:
The base hypothesis of my work is the belief that there were compelling reasons that led Leibniz to create his own philosophical system. I understand a significant part of his sys-tem as a direct reaction to the then dominant Cartesian philosophy and physics, which, in his own words, led to atheism.
