Care of the Soul in Socrates (Plato) in Jan Patočka´s Account

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na Sókratovo (Platónovo) učení ?péče o duši? v pojetí Jana Patočky. Je koncipována do čtyř hlavních částí. První část je zaměřena na péči o duši jako evropskému dědictví, v druhé části je probráno Patočkovo pojetí péče o duši u Platóna, třetí se týká jeho pojetí péče o duši u Sókrata a poslední část je směřována k Cajthamlově kritice Patočkova výkladu péče o duši. Závěr mé práce by měl ozřejmit důležitost péče o duši, jak ji vidí Jan Patočka.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on Socrates´ (Plato´s) teachings on ?Care of the Soul? in Jan Patočka´s interpretation. The thesis is divided into four main parts. The first part concentrates on the ?Care of the Soul? as a European heritage; in the second one, Patočka´s interpretation ?Care of the Soul? in Plato is explained , the third one deals with his interpretation of ?Care of the Soul? in Socrates, and the last one is aimed at Cajthaml´s criticism of Patočka´s presentation ?Care of the Soul?. The closing part of my thesis should clarify the importace of ?Care of the Soul? and explain how Jan Patočka perceives it.
