Evaluation of the level of fisheries management on the river Jihlava below Mohelno water reservoir

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na problematiku zhodnocení rybářského hospodaření na třech pstruhových rybářských revírech řeky Jihlavy, jimiž jsou Jihlava 5A, 5B a 5C. Pozornost byla věnována chladnomilným, hospodářsky významným rybím druhům, v prvé řadě pstruhu obecnému (Salmo trutta m. fario), lipanovi podhornímu (Thymallus thymallus) a pstruhu duhovému (Oncorhynchus mykkis). Práce zahrnuje charakteristiku výše zmíněných rybích druhů a popis prostředí, které umožňuje výskyt těmto rybám, obsahuje také informace o hospodaření na pstruhových revírech a stručně popisuje metodu elektrolovu. Práce se snaží zjistit úroveň hospodaření a vývoj rybího společenstva, a to pomocí údajů z hospodářské evidence, ichtyologického průzkumu, který byl proveden v roce 2021 a porovnáním získaných výsledků s průzkumem z roku 2019. V rámci terénních průzkumů byly získány základní fyzikálně-chemické parametry vody. Díky podrobnému inventarizačnímu průzkumu na třech vybraných lokalitách byl prokázán výskyt 8 druhů zastoupených ve 4 čeledích. Ryby byly změřeny, zváženy a následně vráceny do toku. Vyhodnocována byla i hospodářská evidence, ze které jsme získali míru rybářského tlaku na revírech, kusovou návratnost, výši dosahovaných úlovků a míru vysazování násad hospodářsky významných druhů. Všechny získané informace z hospodářské evidence byly porovnávány s dalšími rybářskými revíry podobného charakteru. Předmětný tok je vystaven velkému rybářskému tlaku sportovními rybáři a vlivu rybožravých predátorů. Veškeré tyto poznatky jsou vzájemně zhodnoceny, výsledky jsou porovnány s mírou hospodaření na zkoumaných revírech a případně je navrhnuta korekce rybářského managementu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the issue of evaluation of fishing management in three trout fishing grounds of the river Jihlava, which are Jihlava 5A, 5B and 5C. Attention was paid to coldwater, economically important fish species, primarily browntrout (Salmo trutta m. Fario), european grayling (Thymallus thymallus) and rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykkis). The work includes the characteristics of the above-mentioned fish species and a description of the environment that allows the occurrence of these fish species, also contains information on trout management and briefly describes the method of electric fishing. Using an ichthyological survey, which was conducted in 2021 and a comparison of the results obtained with the survey from 2019, an effort was made to determine the state and development of the fish community. Physico-chemical parameters of water were obtained within field surveys. Thanks to a detailed inventory survey at three selected localities, the occurrence of 8 species represented in 4 families was proved. The fish were measured, weighed and then returned to the stream. The management data were also evaluated, from which we obtained the level of fishing pressure on the areas, the fish stock return, the total catch, and the stocking rate of the economically important species. All information obtained from the management data was compared with other fishing grounds of a similar conditions. The stream in question is exposed to great fishing pressure from anglers and the influence of fish-eating predators. All these findings are mutually evaluated, the results are compared with the level of management in the examined areas and, if necessary, a correction of fishing management is proposed.
