The role of the perioperative nurse in orthopaedics at the University Hospital Hradec Králové from the perspective of historical development to the present

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na úlohu perioperační sestry ve Fakultní nemocnici Hradec Králové v historickém kontextu až po současnou praxi. Teoretická část se věnuje perioperační péči jako takové, pozornost je věnována charakterovým vlastnostem, odborným kompetencím perioperační sestry a vzdělávání v této specializaci. Zaměřuje se i na instrumentárium, které je specifické pro ortopedické výkony a také na specifika ortopedických operačních sálů. Výzkumná část byla realizována prostřednictvím rozhovorů s perioperačními sestrami pracujícími na ortopedických sálech FNHK. Výsledky byly analyzovány metodou "papír-tužka", rozčleněny do kategorií a subkategorií a následně zpracovány do schémat, na jejichž podkladě byl sestaven paradigmatický a kauzální model, který reflektuje hlavní aspekty práce perioperačních sester na ortopedických sálech. Práce přispívá k hlubšímu porozumění vývoji perioperační péče a jejímu významu v současné praxi, s důrazem na ortopedické operace ve Fakultní nemocnici Hradec Králové.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the role of the perioperative nurse in the University Hospital Hradec Králové in the historical context up to the current practice. The theoretical part is devoted to perioperative care and as such, attention is paid to character traits, professional competences of perioperative nurses and education in this specialty. It also focuses on the instrumentation specific to orthopaedic procedures as well as the specifics of orthopaedic operating rooms. The research part was carried out through interviews with perioperative nurses working in orthopaedic operating theatres of the FNHK. The results were analysed using the paper-and-pencil method, categorised into categories and subcategories, and subsequently processed into diagrams, on the basis of which a paradigmatic and causal model was constructed, reflecting the main aspects of the work of perioperative nurses in orthopaedic theatres. The work contributes to a deeper understanding of the development of perioperative care and its importance in contemporary practice, with an emphasis on orthopaedic surgery at the University Hospital Hradec Králové.
