Evaluation of body temperature of patients undergoing the caesarean section surgery

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá hodnocením tělesné teploty u žen podstupujících operační výkon císařský řez. Tato práce je teoreticko-výzkumného charakteru. Teoretická část se zabývá termoregulací, možnostmi měření a hodnocení tělesné teploty, perioperační nežádoucí hypotermií a možnostmi její prevence, císařským řezem a péčí o ženu během operace se zvláštním zaměřením na péči o tělesnou teplotu. Výzkumné šetření bylo provedeno měřením tělesné teploty před, v průběhu a po operaci a následným vyhodnocením nasbíraných dat. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, zda se u klientek podstupujících císařský řez v perioperačním období vyskytují změny tělesné teploty. Výzkumný soubor byl složen ze dvou skupin žen - jednu tvořily klientky bez aktivního zahřívání, druhá skupina byla zahřívána v průběhu operace jednorázovými samozahřívacími rouškami BARRIER EasyWarm. Veškeré výsledky jsou uvedeny v závěru práce.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with evaluation of body temperature of women undergoing the caesarean section surgery. The thesis has a theoretical-research character. In theoretical part, we deal with the thermoregulation, methods of body temperature measurement and evaluation, inadvertent perioperative hypothermia and the means to prevent it, caesarean section, and care for women during the surgery with special focus on body temperature management. Research was done by measuring the body temperature before, during and after the surgery and by consequent evaluation of the gathered data. The main goal was to discover whether patients undergoing caesarean section show body temperature changes during the perioperative period. Research group was comprised of two groups of women, the first consisted of patients without active warming, the other group was warmed during the operation with single-use self-warming blankets BARRIER EasyWarm. All findings are summarized in the thesis conclusion.
