Předložená diplomová práce se zabývá zkoumáním střetu dvou diskurzů týkajících se přístupu k porodu. This thesis examines a conflict of two discourses related to approach to a childbirth. Through ethnographic metodolody thesis offers an insight to a situation and status of midwives advocating a concept of natural birth, but working in maternity hospitals, thus in institutions with predominance of medical paradigm of leading a childbirth.
