Development of the Belarusian engineering industry

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je identifikovat faktory, které ovlivňují výkonnost běloruského strojírenského průmyslu. K dosažení tohoto cíle je provedena analýza různých faktorů ovlivňujících výkonnost strojírenského průmyslu v Běloruské republice. Práce se skládá z literární rešerše, metodiky a empirické části. Literární rešerše zkoumá faktory, které ovlivňují výkonnost výrobních společností ve strojírenském sektoru. Zároveň poskytuje informace o strojírenském průmyslu a jeho struktuře v Běloruské republice. V metodické části jsou vybrány ukazatele výkonnosti strojírenského odvětví a faktory, které by měly mít vliv na výkon běloruského strojírenství. V empirické části byla provedena analýza všech vybraných faktorů, která ukazuje vliv nejvýznamnější faktorů na strojírenství Běloruské republiky, těmi jsou HDP, hrubá přidaná hodnota, počet zaměstnanců, produktivita práce, reálné mzdy, obrat zahraničního obchodu a změna nákladů. V závěru bakalářské práce jsou prezentovány konkrétní závěry a doporučení, které mají za cíl zlepšit situaci ve strojírenském průmyslu. Konkrétně se navrhuje zlepšit hospodářskou politiku, vytvořit podmínky pro rozvoj inovativních technologií a přilákat zahraniční investice. Pro úspěšnou realizaci těchto opatření je nezbytné zajistit ekonomickou a politickou stabilitu země.

Abstract:

The purpose of the thesis is to identify factors that affect the efficiency of the Belarusian engineering industry. To achieve this goal, an analysis of various factors affecting the efficiency of the engineering industry in the Republic of Belarus is carried out. The current thesis includes literary research, a methodological part and empirical part. In the course of the literary research, the factors influencing the performance of manufacturing companies in the engineering sector are considered, and information is provided on the engineering industry and its structure in the Republic of Belarus. In the methodological part, the selected factors are divided into industry characteristics and influencing factors that affect the performance of the Belarusian engineering industry. In the empirical part, an analysis of the selected factors is carried out and the possible influence of these factors on the mechanical engineering of the Republic of Belarus is demonstrated. The factors under analysis are as follows: GDP, gross value added, the number of people employed, labour productivity, real pay, foreign trade turnover, and valuation changes. The thesis ends with the conclusions and recommendations, as well as proposals for improving the competitiveness of the enterprises in this sector. In particular, it is proposed to improve economic policy, create conditions for the development of innovative technologies and attract foreign investors. For the successful implementation of these measures, it is essential to provide economic and political stability in the country.
