Influence of shortening of above-ground parts of planting material on the success of forest regeneration in the period of drought

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem zkracování nadzemní části sadebního materiálu na úspěšnost obnovy lesa po výsadbě v době intenzivních přísušků (sucha). Zkusné plochy byly realizovány celkem v osmi porostech majetku B.F.P., Lesy a statky Tomáše Bati, spol. s r.o. ve Zlínském kraji. Zkracování sadebního materiálu bylo realizováno na jaře roku 2019 u čtyř druhů dřevin, které byly vysázeny na jaře 2019 a u tří druhů dřevin, které byly vysázeny na jaře roku 2018. Byly sledovány a hodnoceny tyto parametry – ztráty, výška a přírůst nadzemní části, tloušťka kořenového krčku, délka a šířka asimilačního aparátu, délka a barva jehlic, počet větví a zda došlo k vytvoření vícečetných kmenů u zkráceného sadebního materiálu.Předkládaná práce se skládá z rozboru problematiky vybraných dřevin, stresových faktorů působících na sazenice po výsadbě, fyziologií rostlin, vlivem zkrácení nadzemní části sadebního materiálu na obnovení růstu a v neposlední řadě problematikou sucha v lesnictví. V praktické části je popsána metodika zkracování sazenic, charakteristika výzkumných ploch a jednotlivá dílčí měření prováděná po zkrácení. Ve výsledcích byly porovnávány naměřené hodnoty zkrácených a nezkrácených sazenic, dále kontroly každé dřeviny na dané výzkumné ploše.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis tries to influence the shortening of the above-ground parts of planting material on the success of forest regeneration after planting during intense droughts (drought). The tested areas were realized entirely in the possession of the stands of B.F.P., Forests and Estates of Tomáš Bata, spol. s r.o. in the Zlín Region. The shortening of planting material was carried out in the spring of 2019 for four tree species that transmit in the spring of 2019 on three tree species that transmit in the spring of 2018. The following parameters were monitored and evaluated - losses, height and growth of the aboveground part, large root neck, the length and width of the assimilation apparatus, the length and color of the needle, the number of branches and your chance to create multiple trunks in the shortened planting material.Preliminary work focusing on selected tree species, stress factors affecting seedlings after planting, plant physiology, influencing the shortening of above-ground parts of planting material to reduce growth and not least problems related to forestry. The personal sections describe the methodology of shortening seedlings, the characteristics of research areas and individual partial measurements performed after shortening. In comparison, the measured values of shortened and untruncated seedlings were compared, further inspections of any tree species in a limited research area.
