Analysis of the financing of football clubs in the Czech Republic and Great Britain in 2018-2022

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je analýza financování fotbalových klubů v České republice a Velké Británii v letech 2018-2022. V teoretické části jsou představeny a vysvětleny pojmy, které se pojí s platnou legislativou k financování fotbalu a obecnému financování sportu v České republice. Dále jsou zde popsané národní a mezinárodní fotbalové organizace a jejich vztah k financování fotbalových klubů, včetně příjmů a výdajů samotných klubů. V úvodu praktické části je rozebrána struktura financování fotbalu v ČR a je provedena analýza příjmů FAČR. Zároveň je zde vyvrácena hypotéze týkající se výše příspěvku podle počtu aktivních členů v jednotlivých sportovních svazech. Dále je zde provedena analýza příjmů FA s následnými politicko-hospodářskými doporučeními, které by mohli zlepšit situaci ve financování fotbalu a fotbalových klubů v České republice.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the financing of football clubs in the Czech Republic and Great Britain in the years 2018-2022. In the theoretical part, terms are introduced and explained, which are connected with the valid legislation on the financing of football and general financing of sports in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, national and international football organizations and their relationship to the financing of football clubs, including income and expenditure of the clubs themselves, are described here. In the introduction to the practical part, the structure of football financing in the Czech Republic is discussed and an analysis of FAČR's income is carried out. At the same time, the hypothesis regarding the amount of the contribution according to the number of active members in individual sports associations is disproved here. Furthermore, there is an analysis of The FA's income with subsequent political-economic recommendations that could improve the situation in the financing of football and soccer clubs in the Czech Republic.
