Congress Tourism in the Czech Republic and Germany

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o kongresovém cestovním ruchu na území ČR a Německa. Cílem práce je na jedné straně obecný popis KCR jako takového a na straně druhé jeho analýza v ČR a v Německu. V první části práce, která je ryze teoretická, jsou vysvětleny pojmy, jakými jsou kongresový cestovní ruch či segment MICE, do něhož patří i KCR. Stejně tak je v této části k dispozici popis kongresových zařízení či druhy akcí typických pro tento druh cestovního ruchu. Další část se zabývá významem KCR ve světě. Nechybí zde statistiky asociace ICCA, nejvýznačnější zainteresované mezinárodní asociace či současné trendy v oblasti KCR ve světě. Třetí a čtvrtá část jsou co do struktury totožné, neboť obě pojednávají o KCR v konkrétní zemi. V případě třetí kapitoly se jedná o ČR a v případě čtvrté kapitoly o Německo. U obou části jsou nejprve představena veřejně dostupná statistická data z oblasti KCR, následuje analýza předpokladů pro rozvoj KCR v dané zemi a poté jsou popsány nejvýznamnější národní organizace působící v této oblasti cestovního ruchu. Mimoto obsahují tyto dvě části analýzu nejvýznamnějšího kongresového města v rámci obou zemí. Za ČR je tak zanalyzována Praha a v části Německa rovněž hlavní město, tedy Berlín. Na konci každé z kapitol je vypracována SWOT analýza pro danou oblast KCR

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the Congress Tourism in the Czech Republic and Germany. The aim of this thesis is to describe the Congress Tourism in generally and after that to analyse it in the Czech Republic and Germany. The thesis is divided into four parts, the very first one being strictly theoretical. In this first part are explained terms such as Congress Tourism or so called segment MICE which it contains congress tourism as well. Besides, there are descriptions of all typical congress facilities and also common types of congress events. The another part is about a position of the Congress Tourism in the world. In this part, there are presented statistics of the ICCA for one thing and for an other thing there are mentioned international organizations operating in the area of the Congress Tourism. The third and the fourth part have identical same composition for these two parts contain analyses of the Congress Tourism in particular countries. The third part contains analysis of the Congress Tourism in the Czech Republic whereas the fourth part deals with analysis of the Congress Tourism in Germany. There are presented available statistics of the Congress Tourism, separately for each country. Furthermore, both parts include analyses of the most important city in the field of the Congress Tourism. Also, there are analyses of Prague and Berlin. In the end of both parts, there are made SWOT analyses of the Congress Tourism.
