Development of the front paddle on K1 in women within age categories

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo porovnat techniku přímého záběru u dívek v různých věkových kategoriích. Zkoumaným souborem byly tři kajakářky ve věku 13, 16 a 19 let. Všechny dívky započaly s tréninkem na kajaku přibližně ve stejném věku 7-8 let. Probandky měly za úkol pádlovat na kajakářském trenažeru po dobu 15 vteřin ve třech různých intenzitách úsilí. Pro získání kinematických dat přímého záběru byly použity infračervené kamery (Qualisys) a pro zpracování dat byl použit program Visual 3D. Pro posouzení rozdílů mezi pohybem určitých anatomických míst jednotlivých kajakářek byl použit index velikosti vlivu ES (effect size). Ve výsledku byly zjištěny věcně významné rozdíly mezi pohybem jednotlivých kloubů daných kajakářek. Z těchto výsledků ovšem nelze s určitostí odpovědět na naši výzkumnou otázku.

Abstract:

This thesis aimed to compare the technique of a forward stroke in various girls' categories. The investigated subjects were three female kayakers at the age of 13, 16 and 19. All researched girls started their kayak training at the age of 7-8. The probands had to paddle on a kayak simulator for 15 seconds in three distinct strength intensities. In order to get kinematic data of the forward stroke, infrared cameras (Qualisys) were used. The final data were processed via the computer program Visual 3D. For assessing the divergence of data between the movement of distinct anatomical areas of each kayaker, the Effect size index (ES) was used. The results have shown factually significant differences between the movement of particular joints of each kayaker. Nevertheless; by these results we cannot answer our research question with complete certainty.
