Předmětem této práce je analýza vybraných aspektů patentové ochrany poskytované evropským patentovým systémem. V teoretické části se věnuji vývoji evropského patentu, včetně komunitárního patentu. Dále práce obsahuje analýzu institucionálních a procesních otázek evropského patentovéh systému a jejich komparaci s českou úpravou.
