Anticommunist rezistance in the region Žatec

Abstract:

Práce se zaměřuje především na protikomunistický odpor v Československu během komunistické vlády, konkrétně v tzv. zakladatelském období komunistického režimu, ale obsahuje rovněž pohled na poválečné období tzv. třetí republiky v letech 1945 1948. Jsou zde popsány tři malé a jedna větší skupina odporu na Žatecku. Hlavním cílem této práce není pouze popsat formování, činnost a zánik těchto skupin, ale chtěl jsem jejich příběh zasadit do širšího historického vývoje regionu; poukázat na některé specifické aspekty odporu, mechanismy represivního aparátu a lokální aspekty. Práce popisuje historii skupiny "Evžen", což byla velmi malá skupina, jejíž členové byli téměř výhradně studenty žateckého gymnázia. Svůj nesouhlas s komunistickým režimem projevili letákovou kampaní. Jiná skupina pojmenovaná "Viktor" byla rovněž složena z mladých lidí. Také oni rozšiřovali letáky napadající Komunistickou stranu Československa (KSČ). Zbylé popsané skupiny jsou odlišné, protože lidé v nich zapojení se stali oběťmi provokací Státní bezpečnosti (StB). Judexova odbojová protikomunistická organizace se skládala převážně z volyňských Čechů, s tímto případem bylo spojeno více než 60 osob. Volyňští Češi hráli určitou roli i v dalším případu. Příběh vysočanských rolníků je typickým příkladem kolektivizační politiky KSČ. V poslední kapitole stručně popisuji známý případ "Praha-Žatec". Při zpracovávání tématu jsem použil nepřeberné množství archivních materiálů. Většina z nich je uložena v Archivu bezpečnostních složek v Praze. Jiné bychom nalezli v Národním archivu a Státním okresním archivu v Lounech. Použil jsem rovněž některé materiály ze Štátného archivu v Bratislave a z Archivu Ústavu pamäti národa. Využitím těchto pramenů dokazuji, že totalitní tendence byly běžné již před komunistickým převzetím moci. Popsal jsem dva dosud neznámé případy a dva jsem rozvinul. Doufám, že práce bude příspěvkem do historie protikomunistické rezistence v Československu. Hlavní přinos vidím v regionálním rozsahu, který ale rozhodně není vyčerpávající.

Abstract:

This work is mainly focused on anti-Communist resistence in Czechoslovakia during the communist rule; exactly founding period of the communist regime, but also contains a view on post war period, which is marked likeTheThird Republic, between 1945-1948. Specifically I described three smaller and one bigger group in Žatec region. The main aim of this work was not only to desribe formation, activities and the destruction of these units, but also to situated their stories in broader kontext of the regional historical evolution and to pointed out on some specifical aspects of resistence, mechanism of the apparatus repression and region´s specifics. This work described story of very small group "Evžen". Members of this group were mostly students from the Gymnasium of Žatec. They showed their hostiliy toward communist regime by campaign leaflets. Members of another group named "Viktor" were young people that also spreaded leaflets against the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ). The last two groups are different, because people involved in them were victims of State Security service´s (theStB) provocations. The Judex´s Anti-Communist Organization (JOPO) was mainly consist of Volhynian Czechs. More then 60 people were involved in this cases. On archive documents I showed, that the case of JOPO fit in a blanket methods of the StB against Volhynian Czechs. Moreover, reemigrants from Volhynia played an important role in another affair. Story of Vysočany´s farmers is typical example of colectivization policy of the KSČ. The last chapter shortly described famous case "Prague-Žatec". To study this subject I used infinite number of archive materials. Most of them are situated in Security Services Archive in Prague. Others couldbe find in National Archive in Prague and State District Archive in Louny. Moreover, I used some files from the State Archive in Bratislava in Slovakia and the Archive of the Nation´s Memory Institute in Slovakia. As a result these materials have shown that totalitarian tendencies were normal even before the communist coupd´etat in February 1948. In this work I described two cases that were unknow so far and define historie of another two groups. I belive that this work bring next contribution to the history of anti-Communist resistence in Czechoslovakia. Topic that I described here is mainly beneficial in regional range, however I am aware that much more could be further characterize.
