Human Rights and Religion in Božena Komárková´s work

Abstract:

Práce pojednává o díle Boženy Komárkové, autorky žijící ve 20. století, a zaměřuje se především na problematiku lidských práv a náboženství v dějinném kontextu. Autorka označila křesťanství jako jeden kořen podněcující vznik Deklarace lidských práv člověka a občana. Kapitoly nejsou řazeny chronologicky, jak je Komárková zpracovávala, nýbrž podle významu, který jim přisoudila. První se tedy věnuje křesťanství. Desatero dávalo dlouhou dobu podobu lidským právům a kapitola Základní morální kodex, spolu s dalšími spornými otázkami z oblasti křesťanství (chudoba, dědictví, vlastnictví), rozpracovává druhá kapitola. Třetí kapitola pojednává o dalších dvou kořenech lidských práv - pojem přirozeného práva ve vývoji od stoiků po osvícenské myslitele a duchovní boj tří staletí, které Deklaraci předcházely.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the work of Božena Komárková, the authoress living in 20th century, and focuses mainly on the problem of human rights and religion in history context. The author indicated Christianity as one of the most incentive roots of the Declaration of human rights. The chapters are not arranged chronologically in the way the author elaborated them but according to the consideration of their importance. The first chapter concerns Christianity. The second chapter called The Basic Moral Codex refers to the controversial questions of Christianity (povery, legace, ownership) and the form of human rights that had resembled the Ten Commandments for a long time. The third chapter deals with two other roots of Human rights {--} the development of the concept of natural law from stoics to enlighteners and the religious fight of three centuries which preceded the Declaration.
