The Nonprofit Sector in France: Socioeconomic Development and Trends

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá mapováním vývoje neziskového sektoru ve Francii, a to především se zaměřením na 2. polovinu 20. a počátek 21. století, kde pomocí socioekonomických indikátorů analyzuje jednotlivé vývojové etapy sektoru a popisuje vyskytující se trendy, které reflektují ekonomickou teorii a vztah soudobé veřejné politiky vůči neziskovému sektoru. První část práce je věnována teoretickým základům, následovaná částí zabývající se historickým původem neziskového sektoru ve Francii. Třetí část práce sleduje vývoj sektoru v 20. století a poslední, čtvrtá, část popisuje současný stav a krátce nahlíží do budoucnosti neziskového sektoru.

Abstract:

This Diploma thesis is dedicated to the depiction of the nonprofit sector in France, with a special focus on the second half of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, where we analyze by means of socioeconomic indicators the individual development stages of the sector and we depict the occurring trends, reflecting the economic theory and the relation of the present-day public policies towards the nonprofit sector. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the theoretical foundations, followed by the historical origin of the nonprofit sector in France. The third part surveys the development of the sector in the course of the 20th century, and finally, the fourth part assesses the current situation and provides a brief
