Adhesion testing of the thin films by cross hatch method

Abstract:

Práce je věnována studiu a popisu tenkých vrstev a to především testování jejich adheze k substrátu. Úvodní část práce se zaměřuje na obecný popis, předdepoziční úpravy povrchů a následně na samotnou depozici tenkých vrstev. V druhé polovině práce jsou popsány metody testování adheze tenkých vrstev jako je např. vrypová zkouška, odtrhová zkouška, Mercedes test, zkouška smykem, atd. Největší důraz je kladen na metodu zkoušení adheze tenkých vrstev nazývanou cross hatch test neboli zkouška mřížkovým řezem. Tato metoda je zde podrobně popsána a v závěru práce i experimentálně odzkoušena na několika vzorcích lišících se materiálem vrstvy a substrátem, na němž je vrstva nanesena.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the description of thin films and expecially on the testing of their adhesion to the substrate. The opening part of this thesis contains a general description of thin films, pre-deposition surface modification and the deposition itself. The second part is focused on the adhesion tests such as scratch test, pull-off test, mercedes test, etc. The greatest emphasis is placed on the cross hatch adhesion test which is based on the principle of creating grid cut in the thin film and subsequent evaluation of the results by comparison with standard adhesive classes. This method is described in detail and experimentally tested on several samples.
