The Competency Model as a Management Tool in the Selected Organization

Abstract:

Cílem práce je vytvoření specifických kompetenčních modelů pro vybrané pracovní pozice Hlavní mistr a navrhnout plán vzdělávacích aktivit, který by rozvíjel identifikované klíčové kompetence. Prvním krokem byla identifikace klíčových kompetencí a vytvoření kompetenčních modelů pro čtyři pracovní pozice hlavních mistrů. Vytvořený kompetenční model obsahuje tři oblasti kompetencí, kterými jsou měkké kompetence, odborné obecné a specificky odborné kompetence, v nich definované konkrétní kompetence a jejich požadovanou úroveň. Dalším krokem bylo určení současné a žádoucí úrovně klíčových kompetencí. Současně jsem tak získala informaci o kompetenční mezeře, která byla základem pro tvorbu návrhu plánu rozvojových a vzdělávacích aktivit, jejichž absolvování by mělo přispět především k růstu slabých klíčových kompetencí. Návrh vzdělávacího plánu je vytvořen samostatně a bude dle standardů organizace součástí myslingu. Kompetenční model jako nový personální nástroj bude sloužit pracovníkům personálního útvaru, v této vybrané organizaci, pro identifikaci a plánování vzdělávání a rozvoje pracovníků na pozici Hlavní mistr.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to create specific competency models for the position of the Main Supervisor and to design a plan of educational activities which would develop identified key competencies. The first step was to identify the key competencies and to create competency models for four positions of main supervisors. The created competency model includes three areas of competences. These are soft skills, general and specific professional competences, particular competences defined within and the desired level of all. The next step was to determine the current and the desirable level of key skills. As well, I have received information about competence gap which served as a basis of the creation of a draft plan of development and educational activities, the completion of which should contribute both to the growth of low key competencies. The draft educational plan is created separately and it will be a part of “mysling” according to the standards of the organization. The competency model as a new HR tool will serve the staff of the personnel department in the selected organization, it will be used for identification and planning of education and development of the employees on the position of main supervisors.
