The attitude of parents to internet gambling of their adolescent children

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá postojem rodičů k patologickému internetovému hráčství svých dospívajících dětí. Popisuje, jakým způsobem rodiče řeší danou situaci v rodině, jaký mají názor na problém patologického hráčství. Teoretická část práce nejdříve definuje pojmy patologického hráčství a postojů z třídimenzionálního hlediska a následuje výzkum zaměřený na postoje rodičů. Výzkum je založený na kvalitativní strategii s využitím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Do výzkumu byli zapojeni rodiče dětí, 3 respondentky a 3 respondenti. Osloveni byli také odborníci na danou problematiku. Získaná data jsou interpretována na základě otevřeného kódování. Interpretovaná data jsou popsána z hlediska postoje. Popisují, jakým způsobem rodiče vnímají, prožívají a řeší patologické internetové hráčství u svých dospívajících dětí. Závěr práce odpovídá na hlavní výzkumnou otázku. Je zde návrh a doporučení pro další výzkum a praxi.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the attitude of parents to internet gambling of their adolescent children. Describes how the parents fix the situation in the family, how is their view on the problem of gambling. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the concepts of compulsive gambling, and attitudes from the three dimension point of view and is followed by research on the attitudes of the parents. The research is based on qualitative strategy using semi-structured interviews. In the research were involved parents of children, 3 women respondents and 3men respondents. There were also involved experts on the issue. The obtained data are interpreted on the basis of an open coding. Interpreted data are discussed in terms of the attidudes. The interpreted data are describe how parents perceive, experience and fix the internet gambling of their adolescent children.The conclusion of the work corresponds to the main research question. There is the proposal and recommendations for future research and practice.
