The Role of Ethnicity in Escalation of Armed Conflict: Case Study South Ossetia
Abstract:
Cílem práce je analýza aspektu etnicity a její role při eskalaci ozbrojeného konfliktu mezi Gruzií a Jižní Osetií. Jsou zkoumány pozice primárních aktérů, jež mají v konfliktu zásadní vliv. Výsledkem tak bude zjištění, zdali byla příčinou eskalace konfliktu primárně etnicita a popřípadě jak se v rámci jednotlivých fázích lišila.
Abstract:
The aim of the thesis is an analysis of the aspekt of etnicity and its role in the escalation of the armed conflict between Georgia and South Ossetia. The thesis examines the position of primary avers because they play signifiant role in this conflict. The findings of this research will provide whether was the etnicity main factor of the escalation and how it was evolving in each phase of conflict …more
