Strategic analysis of GOLDEN GATE CZ a.s.

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je na základě strategické analýzy navrhnout doporučení pro úpravu a vylepšení současné podnikové strategie společnosti GOLDEN GATE CZ a.s. Text práce je rozdělen do dvou částí. Teoretická část na základě odborné literatury vymezuje metody strategické analýzy, které jsou využity v praktické části. Praktická část zpracovává strategickou analýzu společnosti, která je tvořena analýzou okolí, analýzou vnitřních zdrojů a schopností a závěrečnou syntézou. Analýza okolí je rozdělena na mikro a makrookolí. K analýze makrookolí je využita analýza PESTEL. Analýza mikrookolí využívá Porterův model pěti sil, analýzu odvětví, konkurence a mapu konkurenčních skupin. Vnitřní zdroje a schopnosti jsou rozebrány pomocí analýzy VRIO, finanční analýzy a analýzy hodnototvorného řetězce. Syntéza práce charakterizuje vazby mezi identifikovanými silnými a slabými stránkami, příležitostmi a hrozbami. Na jejím základě je formulován závěr a strategická doporučení pro společnost.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to propose recommendations for modification and improvement of the current corporate strategy of GOLDEN GATE CZ a.s. based on the strategic analysis. The thesis text is divided into two parts. The theoretical part defines the methods of strategic analysis, which are used in the practical part. The practical part elaborates the strategic analysis of the company, which consists of the analysis of the environment, the analysis of internal resources and capabilities and the final synthesis. The analysis of the environment is divided into micro and macro environment. PESTEL analysis is used to analyse the macroenvironment. The microenvironment analysis uses Porter's five forces model, industry analysis, competitor analysis and map of strategic groups of competitors. Internal resources and capabilities are analysed using VRIO analysis, financial analysis and value chain analysis. The synthesis of the paper characterizes the linkages between the identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Based on this, a conclusion and strategic recommendations for the company are formulated.
