Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá mexickou imigrací do Spojených Státu od jejích počátků až do jednadvacátého století. Práce poskytuje nástin vývoje imigrace v závislosti na politických a ekonomických podmínkách v obou zemích, stejně jako na americké imigrační politice.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with Mexican immigration to the United States from the early years until the beginning of the twenty-first century. It presents political and economical conditions in both countries in the twentieth century, analyses the impact of the American immigration acts on the inflow of immigrants, and argues what were the main reasons for Mexican immigrants to become the largest immigrant group in the United States.
