Nursing Care of the Patient in Coma Vigil with Using the Concept of Basal Stimulation

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je popsat ošetřovatelskou péči o pacienta v coma vigile s využitím konceptu Bazální stimulace a analyzovat rozhovory s lidmi, kteří pacienty v coma vigile navštěvovali v pravidelných časových intervalech. V teoretické části jsou popsány poznatky týkající se dané problematiky. Pozornost je věnována definici, etiologii, projevům, léčbě, prognóze a ošetřovatelské péči u pacientů v coma vigile. Je poukazováno na význam Bazální stimulace, je zmíněna její historie, pojetí a techniky konceptu. V praktické části je sledována případová studie jednoho pacienta s diagnózou coma vigile a jeho rodiny v nemocničním prostředí a jsou analyzovány rozhovory s lidmi, kteří pacienty v coma vigile pravidelně navštěvovali. Téma je v dnešní době aktuální, neboť se počet pacientů s diagnózou coma vigile zvyšuje. Tato diplomová práce poskytuje poznatky, které mohou využít sestry přicházející do praxe.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to describe the nursing care of patients in coma vigil by using the concept of Basal Stimulation and analyzed interviews with people who visited patients in coma vigil in regular intervals. The theoretical part describes the knowledge of this issue. It is focused on the definition, etiology, symptoms, treatment, prognosis and nursing care for patients in coma vigil. We want to highlight to the importance of Basal Stimulation, its history, rendition and techniques of the concept. In the practical part of the thesis we are presented case study of the patient in coma vigil and his family in the hospital and I analyze interviews with people who regularly visit patients in coma vigil. The topic is current because the number of patients with coma vigil diagnosis increases nowadays. Thesis provides knowledge that can be used by nurses starting their professional career.
