Tato diplomová práce komparuje konstrukci rizika prasečí chřipky u britského deníku The Times a českého deníku MF Dnes. Základními teoretickými rámci jsou teorie „rizikové společnosti“, governmentality a mediální paniky. This Master's thesis is comparing the construction of swine flu risk between the British daily newspaper The Times and the Czech daily MF Dnes. Key theoretical concepts are the theory of a "risk society", governmentality and media panic. Concepts of media discourse such as agenda setting, framing and news values are also utilized.
