Presentation of feminisms in curricular documents and selected textbooks in the Slovak Republic

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis „Presentation of feminisms in curricular documents and selected textbooks in the Slovak Republic“ deals with an analysis of documents used in classes of civics and history in primary and secondary education. First part is devoted to analysis of historical development of feminism in the world and in Slovakia. This part will later be used as a source of information for analysis of history textbooks. Another chapter deals with the theory of gender-sensitive pedagogy. The main part contains the analysis of ŠVP (National educational curriculum) and selected textbooks via lens of gender sensitive pedagogy. The last part comments on the conclusions of the analysis and proposes suggestions to improve problematic parts. The main aim of the thesis is to analyse information that the documents provide for children and to evaluate their content in terms of gender sensitivity.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca „Prezentácia feminizmov v kurikulárnych dokumentoch a vybraných učebniciach v Slovenskej republike“ sa zaoberá analýzou dokumentov používaných pri vyučovaní na hodinách občianskej výchovy a dejepisu na základných a stredných školách. Prvá časť je venovaná analýze vývoju feminizmu vo svete a na Slovensku, neskôr poslúži ako zdroj informácií pri analýze dejepisných učebníc. Ďalšie kapitoly sú teoreticky venované rodovo citlivej pedagogike. Hlavná časť práce sa zaoberá analýzou Štátneho vzdelávacieho programu a vybraných učebníc dejepisu skrz optiku rodovo citlivej pedagogiky. V poslednej časti budú k výsledkom analýzy vytvorené pripomienky a návrhy na vylepšenie problematických častí. Cieľom práce je zanalyzovať informácie, ktoré sú ohľadne feministického myslenia v príslušných dokumentoch žiakom sprostredkované a zároveň zhodnotiť ich obsah s dôrazom na rodovú citlivosť
