Abstract:

Fotografování stavby dálnice D3 ve směru od Českých Budějovic k hranicím s Rakouskem se věnuji dlouhodobě. Stavbu nefotím pro zakázku, ale pro své vyrovnání se s touto nenávratnou přeměnou krajiny a prostředí, ve kterém žiji. Stavbu nevidím kriticky, ale z perspektivy nutnosti pro všechny. Během fotografování se snažím nevytvářet pouze informativní sdělení o průběhu a dopadech stavby, ale hledám při fotografování i kreativní způsob, jak zobrazit tuto přeměnu. Projekce bývalých stavů krajiny a stavby na monolity rozestavěných mostů je můj způsob, jak propojit minulé a současné.

Abstract:

I have been photographing the construction of the D3 highway from České Budějovice to the border with Austria for a long time. I photograph the construction not for a commission, but for my coping with this irreversible transformation of the landscape and the environment I live in. I see the construction not critically, but from the perspective of necessity for all. While photographing, I try not only to create an informative message about the process and impact of the construction, but also look for creative ways to portray this transformation. Projecting former states of landscape and construction onto the monoliths of deconstructed bridges is my way of connecting the past and the present.
