The patient with Parkinson's disease: clinical assessment and rehabilitation.

Abstract:

The work is about the Parkinson's disease and its evaluation and rehabilitation: ? Early phase (1st and 2nd)= muscle stretching exercise and exercise to improve respiratory capacity. ? Intermediate phase (3rd and 4th)= the rehabilitation has the purpose of controlling the automatic movements through strategies control of the attention and the use of sensory stimuli. ? Advanced phase (4th and 5th)= the functional rehabilitation has the purpose of preventing falls. IT will be referred to the patient's home affection with the involvement of the family. 2.3. Introduction: The Parkinson's is a degenerative disease of CNS characterized by tremor,bradycin,rigidity and postural instability. There is a demodulation of activation between the direct and indirect way of the motor circuit of the base ganglia. The patients with Parkinson's disease have alteration of the march (freezing and festination); Equilibrio disorders; Alteration of writing. The diagnosis is clinical. The instrumental exams are: PET and SPECT. The staging of the disease use the UPDRS scale (Unified Parkinson's disease rating scale). The rehabilitation goals are: - Conteniment of primary damage. - Prevention of secondary damage. Verification of compromised functions and identification of alternative modes and strategies.

Abstract:

La tesi ha lo scopo di illustrare il morbo di Parkinson con la relativa valutazione e trattamento riabilitativo: ?fase precoce (stadio I e II ) = esercizi di allungamento muscolare e per migliorare la capacit? respiratoria. ?fase intermedia ( stadio III e IV ) = la riabilitazione ? volta a modificare la perdita del controllo automatico del movimento mediante strategie che comprendono il controllo dell'attenzione e l'uso di stimoli sensoriali. ? fase avanzata ( stadio IV e V ) = la riabilitazione funzionale ha un ruolo preventivo delle complicazioni, soprattutto delle cadute. Si far? riferimento anche all'accudimento domestico del paziente con coinvolgimento del nucleo familiare.
