Origin and development of the gendarmerie in Czechoslovakia

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je bližší seznámení s vývojem a vznikem četnictva na území Československa a poohlédnutí se za činností četnictva v době První republiky. Seznámení nás čeká s prvním Československým prezidentem Tomášem Garriguem Masarykem a představiteli, kteří se podíleli na založení republiky. Následně se zaměříme především na dění četnictva a na řád četnických stanic a připomenutí si nejznámějšího generála Československého četnictva Karla Vyčítala. Ten se mimo jiné vyznamenal v bojích na Těšínsku. Připomeneme si počáteční problémy Československé republiky po jejím vzniku a poté klidná léta, která byla brána jako nejlepší v době První republiky V praktické části se zaměříme na region Mostecka a Lounska, kde si připomeneme hospodářskou situaci v těchto regionech, a především gradující se problém se sudetskými Němci. Na Mostecku a Lounsku došlo během první republiky k trestným činům, se kterými se seznámíme a provedeme jejich následnou komparaci s trestem dnešním a trestem minulým.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to get to know the development and creation of the gendarmerie in the territory of Czechoslovakia and to take a look at the activities of the gendarmerie during the First Republic. A closer acquaintance awaits us with the first Czechoslovakia president Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk and representatives who participated in the founding of the republic. Subsequently, we will focus primarily on the events of the gendarmerie and the order of gendarmerie stations and the commemoration of the most famous general of the Czechoslovakia gendarmerie, Karel Vyčítal. Who among other things, distinguished himself in the battles of Těšínsk. We will recall the initial problems of the Czechoslovak Republic after its establishment and then the peaceful years, which were considered the best years during the First Republic. Sudeten Germans. It was in Mostek and Lounsk during the first republic that certain criminal acts took place, which we will familiarize ourselves with and then compare them with today's punishment and the punishment of the past.
