Provincial roads on Moravia-Hungarian borderland focussing on Hungarian road

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zaznamenat síť stezek a cest na území Moravy v okolí hranic s Uhrami od raného novověku až po počátek 20. Století. Důraz bude kladen i na změny průběhu hranice a hraniční přechody, které se v průběhu let mohly měnit. Součástí výstupů práce budou i mapová zobrazení dokumentující průběh stezek. Základem práce budou nejen písemné prameny různého charakteru a dostupný mapový materiál, ale i plánovaný terénní výzkum na vybraných lokalitách. Hlavní důraz bude kladen na Uherskou stezku, jako hlaví obchodní trasu do Uher.

Abstract:

Main goal of this thesis is to describe network of trails on Moravia near Hungarian borders from early modern period to beginning of 20th century. It's also focused on changes at borderlands and border checkpoints that can change over time. Thesis includes mapping schemes that describes course of trails at a given area. Various written sources and available mapping sources are not only fundamentals of this thesis but there's also field research that is very important. Main focus will be on Hungarian road as the main trading road to Hungary.
