Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem finanční nedostupnosti bydlení a fertility v České republice a ve Spolkové republice Německo v roce 2011. Předešlé výzkumy v oblasti ukázaly, že bydlení může mít zásadní vliv na časování narození dítěte i na počet narozených dětí. Cílem práce je ověřit dvě základní hypotézy. První hypotéza říká, že existuje pozitivní vztah průměrného věku matek při porodu 1. dítěte a finanční nedostupnosti bydlení. Druhá hypotéza říká, že existuje negativní vztah mezi fertilitou a finanční nedostupností bydlení. Obě hypotézy byly testovány za pomoci regresního modelu. Regresní analýza ukázala, že finanční nedostupnost bydlení je signifikantní vysvětlující proměnnou pro časování porodů dítěte. Na druhé straně se nepodařilo nalézt signifikantní vztah mezi fertilitou a finanční nedostupností bydlení. S využitím uvedených výsledků jsou formulována doporučení pro hospodářskou politiku tak, aby byla fertilita ovlivňována přes snížení průměrného věku při porodu 1. dítěte. Vzhledem k nejistému vztahu fertility a finanční nedostupnosti bydlení je současně většina doporučených opatření koncipována tak, aby nebyly příliš zatíženy veřejné rozpočty.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis explores the relationship between financial unaffordability of housing and fertility in the Czech Republic and in the Federal Republic of Germany in 2011. Previous research in the field has shown that housing can have a major impact on the timing of birth and the number of births. The target is to verify two hypoteses. The first hypothesis is that there is a positive relationship between the average age of mothers at first birth of a child and financial unaffordability of housing. The second hypothesis is that there is a negative relationship between fertility and financial unaffordability of housing. Both hypotheses were tested with the support of the regression model. Regression analysis showed that financial unaffordability of housing is a significant explanatory variable for the timing of childbirth. On the other hand, it failed to find a significant relationship between fertility and financial unaffordability of housing. Using these results are formulated recommendations for economic policy so that fertility was affected through reduction of the average age at first birth of a child. Because of the uncertain relationship between fertility and financial unaffordability of housing is most recommended measures designed to not be too burdened public budgets.
