The Building of the Mahen's Theatre in Context with Czech Theatre Architecture at the turn of 19th and 20th Century
Abstract:
Tato práce se z větší částí zabývá architektonickou firmou z Vídně Fellner a Helmer a jejich divadelními stavbami v Čechách a na Moravě. Největší důraz je kladen na Mahenovo divadlo, které se stalo jejich první divadelní stavbou u nás. Jelikož ovlivnili mnoho architektů na konci 19. století, věnuji pozornost alespoň jednomu z nich, a to Alexandru Grafovi a jeho divadelním stavbám na Moravě.
Abstract:
This thesis deals mainly with the architectonic company from Wienna called Fellner and Helmer and with their theatre buildings in Bohemia and Moravia. The main emphasis is placed on the Mahens theatre which became their first theatre building in our country. Because they influenced many architects at the end of 19th century, I pay attention to at least one of them, Alexander Graf and his theatre buildings …more
