Potentiality of Religion Tourism for Teaching Geography

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Potenciál religiózního cestovního ruchu pro výuku geografie“ pojednává o využití poutě z Velehradu na Svatý Hostýn v rámci školního vzdělávacího programu pro základní vzdělávání. Hlavním cílem této práce je využití regionálních zvláštností vybrané oblasti z hlediska potenciálu religiózního cestovního ruchu pro výuku zeměpisu na základní škole. V teoretické části je zařazena pouť do širšího kontextu cestovního ruchu. Následně jsou vymezeny části RVP ČR pro základní školy a ŠVP ZŠ Slovenská, které se týkají připravované poutní trasy a jsou potenciálně využitelné pro tento typ výuky. Dále je vymezen geograficko-historický kontext a jeho přínos pro výuku. V empirické části je pomocí metody ohniskové skupiny a otevřených otázek zkoumán postoj žáků k terénní výuce, jejich zkušenosti s ní a ochota se aktivně zúčastnit tohoto typu výuky. Druhá část zkoumá pomocí obrysové mapy Zlínského kraje jejich faktické znalosti o kraji, ve kterém žijí. Na závěr jsou vytvořeny metodické a pracovní listy na realizaci terénní výuky, splňující požadavky vzdělávacích kurikulárních dokumentů.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis called „Potentiality of Religion Tourism for Teaching Geography” deals with a usage of a pilgrimage from Velehrad to Hostýn due to school education programme. The main goal of the thesis is to utilize the regional peculiarities of the chosen area for a potential religion tourism in the lessons of Geography. In the theoretical part, firstly, the pilgrimage was incorporated into a wider context of tourism. Subsequently, parts of the School Education Programme and Framework Education Programme, which relate to the issue of the pilgrimage and which are potentially useful for this type of lessons, were specified. Afterward, benefits of a geographical and historical context were identified. In the practical part, an attitude of pupils to the fieldwork, their experience with it and willingness to active participation on it were researched through a focus group method and an open-question questionnaire. In the second part, a contour map of Zlín region was used to analyze factual knowledge of the pupils about the region they live in. Finally, Methodological lists and worksheets for realization the fieldwork due to curricular documents and worksheets were made.
