Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zrcadlový překlad a rozbor loutnové školy Williama Barleye A New Booke of Tabliture (NBT), která vyšla v Londýně roku 1596. První část se zabývá vznikem NBT, životopisem Williama Barleye a tiskařskou hudební produkcí vybraných anglických publikací na konci šestnáctého století. Druhá část informuje čtenáře o obsahu NBT a popisuje všechny náležitosti nacházející se v publikaci. Součástí jsou životopisy autorů Francise Cuttinga a Johna Dowlanda. Třetí část obsahuje transliteraci a zrcadlový překlad NBT včetně přepisů Cuttingových a Dowlandových skladeb.

Abstract:

The aim of this Bachelor work is a translation and analysis of the William Barley’s Lute school, A New Booke of Tabliture (NBT), which was published in London 1596. The first part deals with the emergence of NBT, biography of William Barley´s production and printing of English music publications at the end of the sixteenth century and the beginning of the seventeenth century. The second part informs the reader about the content of NBT and describes all the elements appearing in a publication. There are includes biographies of the authors Francis Cutting and John Dowland. The third part contains transliteration and translation of the mirror NBT including transcripts of Cutting’s and Dowland’s compositions.
