Granular mixing dynamics and its effect on homogenization process via Discrete Element Method

This thesis focuses on the effect of dynamics on the granular homogenization process by using the Discrete Element Method. The simulations were conducted for approximately 42 thousand glass spherical particles in a cylindrical vertical bladed mixer for varying stirrer rotational speed. Abstract:
Tato práce byla zaměřena na vliv dynamiky na proces granulárního míchání za použití metody diskrétních prvků. Simulace byly spuštěny pro přibližně 42 tisíc skleněných kulových částic ve vertikální válcové nádobě s lopatkovým míchadlem. Pro studium granulární dynamiky byla navržena nová metodologie transformace ze 3D systému do 2D vertikální roviny za účelem identifikace sekundárních toků. Koncentrační …more
