Vyšetření rychlosti sedimentace je rychlá a levná metoda. Má vysokou senzitivitu, ale nízkou specifitu. Neukazuje lokalizaci případného patologického stavu. Informuje o stavu onemocnění, průběhu léčby nebo pomáhá při stanovení diagnózy. Examination of sedimentation rate is a fast and inexpensive method. It has a high sensitivity, but a low specificity. It does not show the localization of a possible pathological condition. It informs about the state of the disease, the course of treatment or helps in the diagnosis.
