Tropical rainforest deforestation in the state of Amazonas, Brazil

Abstract:

Tento text je zaměřen na konkrétní činitele, které mají vliv na odlesňování tropických deštných pralesů na území brazilského státu Amazonas. Cílem práce bylo provést systematickou literární rešerši odborných článků k tématu, jež byly vydány za posledních 10 let a jsou indexovány na Web of Science, Scopus a na vyhledávači Google Scholar. Dále bylo cílem analyzovat vývoj vztahu mezi dvěma navzájem se ovlivňujícími faktory, jimiž jsou přírůst skotu a rozloha odlesněné plochy pralesů v období 2010–2021. Analýza dostupných dat byla provedena pomocí korelační analýzy. Výsledky korelační analýzy dat poukazují na negativní závislost dvou sledovaných faktorů, což napovídá, že odlesňování státu Amazonas není zapříčiněno pouze chovem skotu. V závěru jsou stanovena doporučení pro další výzkum, které souvisí především s důkladnějším zkoumáním ohrožených oblastí.

Abstract:

This text focuses on the specific factors that influence tropical rainforest deforestation in the Brazilian state of Amazonas. The aim of the work was to conduct a systematic literature search of scientific articles on the topic published in the last 10 years and indexed on Web of Science, Scopus and Google Scholar search engine. Furthermore, the objective was to analyze the evolution of the relationship between two interacting factors, which are cattle growth and the area of deforested rainforest between 2010 and 2021. The analysis of the available data was carried out using correlation analysis. The results of the correlation analysis of the data indicate a negative dependence between the two factors under study, suggesting that deforestation in the Amazonas is not caused by cattle ranching alone. Finally, recommendations for further research are made, mainly related to a more thorough investigation of the threatened areas.
