Occupational therapy use of persons with Down syndrome

Abstract:

Moje bakalářská práce s názvem ?Uplatnění ergoterapie u osob s Downovým syndromem? stručně popisuje podstatu onemocnění, morfologické vlastnosti, prevenci i vývoj syndromu. Orientačně nastiňuje mentální retardaci a společnost Arkadii. Dále je v práci stručně popsána ergoterapie a ucelená rehabilitace osob s Downovým syndromem. Hlavním cílem této práce je nahlédnutí do problematiky Downova syndromu, což jak doufám, se naplní. S klientem jsem pracovala ve stacionáři v Teplicích, kde jsem navazovala na jejich režim. Klient většinou spolupracoval, díky tomu jsme splnily všechny dané cíle v krátkodobých ergoterapeutických plánech.

Abstract:

My bachelor's work, named ?Application of occupational therapy in persons with Down's syndrome?, briefly describes the principles of disease, morphological features, prevention and also development of this syndrome. It defines for guidance mental retardation and institute Arkadie. Further describes occupational therapy and integrated physiotherapy of persons with Down's syndrome. The main goal of this work is insight to issue of Down's syndrome and I hope it will happen. I worked with client in social welfare institution in Teplice, where I continued in their regime. Client mostly cooperated which helped to realize all of given goals in short-term occupational therapeutical plans.
