A Pyrrhic Victory: The Second Seminole War, 1835-1842
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis demonstrates that both sides of the conflict, known as the Second Seminole War, reached only a pyrrhic victory. A victory, but at a great price. It also examines the history and events that led to the Second Seminole War, and further examines seven years long conflict, which ultimately ended by a truce.
Abstract:
Předmětem této bakalářské práce je prokázat fakt, že obě strany konfliktu, během druhé Seminolské války, dosáhli pouze Pyrrhova vítězství. Neboli vítězství za příliš velkou cenu. Práce se zabírá historii a událostmi, které k této válce vedli, a hlavně pak rozebírá sedm let dlouhý konflikt, který vyústil v uzavření míru mezi zúčastněnými stranami.
