Selected aspects of the impact of globalization IT through cloud services to local market

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zhodnocení aktuálního stavu IT, a to zejména v obchodních společnostech. Následně popis nově přicházející koncepce Software as a Service (SaaS), v překladu Software jako služba, a její vliv na chod společnosti i všech ostatních hráčů na IT trhu (výrobci a dodavatelé hardwaru, softwaru, telekomunikační společnosti). Koncepce je popsaná se svými výhodami i nevýhodami, uvedeny jsou i podobné, nově nastupující koncepce Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) a Platform as a Service (PaaS), v překladu Infrastruktura a Platforma jako služba, a jejich konkrétní příklady z praxe, konkrétně od společnosti Microsoft. SaaS jsem analyzovala z marketingového hlediska a napasovala na koncepci 4P, resp. 4C marketingového mixu. Pro atraktivitu a zejména pro úplnost obsahuje práce taktéž postřehy samotných IT profesionálů, kteří jsou díky dlouholeté praxi schopni popsat vlastní zkušenosti se SaaS, upozornit na své postřehy, nápady či si postěžovat na chyby, které tato koncepce dle jejich názorů má, což může být zejména pro poskytovatele těchto služeb poučné a inspirativní. Řešení SaaS je globální záležitostí, která má svůj původ, vývoj a její hlavní poskytovatelé možná náhodou sídlí všichni na území USA. Vliv na ostatní země je nerovnoměrný. V této práci se zaměřuji na aktuální stav a oblibu SaaS v našem regionu, přesněji ve Střední a Východní Evropě. Závěrem doporučuji možné reakce různých skupin na masivní nástup SaaS v řešení IT.

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to evaluate the current state of IT, especially in companies. Following a description of the new concept coming Software as a Service (SaaS) and its influence on the running of the company and all other players in the IT market (manufacturers and suppliers of hardware, software, telecommunication companies). The concept is described with its advantages and disadvantages. It is similar to the newly emerging concept of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS), and specific examples from practice, namely from Microsoft. SaaS was analyzed from a marketing perspective -- it was described on 4P, respectively. 4C marketing mix. For attractiveness and especially for completeness of the thesis contains also remarks of the IT professionals who, through years of practice, are able to describe their own experiences with SaaS, to highlight their insights, ideas, or to complain of errors that this concept according to their views, has. It can be enlightening and inspiring especially for service providers. SaaS is a global issue, which has its origin, evolution, and its main providers all located in the USA. The effect on other countries is uneven. In this thesis I focus on the current status and popularity of SaaS in the region, specifically in Central and Eastern Europe. Finally, I suggest possible responses of different groups to the massive emergence of SaaS IT solutions.
