Brain-hacking in Mobile Applications

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce "Brain-hacking v mobilních aplikacích" se zaměřuje na rostoucí problematiku závislosti na mobilních telefonech. Poukazuje na způsoby, kterými společnosti podvědomě podněcují uživatele k trávení co nejvíce času u jejich mobilní aplikace. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty základní informace o brain-hackingu, jeho historii, vývoji a současném stavu. Je zde popsán proces formování zvyku v mozku, proč si zvyky vytváříme a jaký mají vliv na naše každodenní činnosti. V druhé kapitole jsou uvedeny příklady metod, které využívají tyto poznatky v mobilních aplikacích. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na předpoklady k ovlivnění uživatele a jaké mohou být následky při úspěšné aplikaci metod. Záměrem je přiblížit, jak a proč tento koncept funguje, jaké negativní dopady může na uživatele v dlouhodobém horizontu mít a jak se jim vyvarovat. Aplikační rovina se zaměřuje na zhodnocení výsledků vybrané skupiny dobrovolníků. Výsledek šetření vykresluje profil uživatele mobilní aplikací, jeho preferencí, stráveného času a následné shrnutí poznatků. Dále obsahuje srovnání výsledků po aplikování preventivních metod.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis "Brain-hacking in mobile applications" focuses on the growing issue of mobile phone addiction. It points out the ways in which companies subconsciously encourage users to spend as much time as possible on their mobile app.The theoretical part summarizes basic information about brain-hacking, its history, development and current state. It describes the process of forming habits in the brain, why we create habits and how they influence our daily activities. The second chapter shows examples of methods that use this data in mobile applications. The third chapter focuses on assumptions to influence the user and what are possible negative consequences of successful application of methods. The intention is to explain how and why this concept works, what negative impacts it can have on users in the long term and how to avoid them.The application level focuses on evaluating the results of a selected group of volunteers. The result of the survey depicts the user's profile of the mobile application, its preferences, time spent and subsequent summary of knowledge. It also contains a comparison of results after applying preventive methods.
