Entertainment Centres and City Parks – Evaluation of its Significance for the Culture of the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce hodnotí význam kulturních center a center zábavy v České republice pro kulturu a kulturní úroveň mladé generace. Aby byl tento cíl dosažen, předchází analýza kulturní politika státu, vybraných měst a komparace s vybranými zeměmi Evropské unie. Provedena je také analýza podnikatelského prostředí v oblasti kultury. Vyzdvižena jsou specifika marketingu kulturních organizací. Příklady konkrétních center ze zahraničí ilustrují úspěšnost a možnosti takových projektů. Prověřena je také možnost využití chátrajících historických objektů. Uvedené poznatky jsou s pomocí výsledků dotazníkového šetření uzavřeny SWOT analýzou, několika návrhy pro rozvoj kultury v České republice a podněty pro kulturní centra a centra zábavy.

Abstract:

This master thesis evaluates the importance of cultural centres and entertainment centres in the Czech republic for culture and cultural level of the young generation. To achieve this objective precedes analysis of cultural policy of the country, selected cities and comparison of selected countries of the European Union. There is also carried out analysis of the business environment in the cultural sector. Differences in marketing of cultural organizations are highlighted. Examples of factual centres from abroad illustrate success and the possibility of such projects. There is also examined the possibility of using dilapidated historical buildings. Presented findings are with the results of the survey concluded by SWOT analysis, several proposals for the development of culture in the Czech republic and suggestions for cultural and entertainment centres.
