The diploma thesis deals with the concept of the Holocaust by Zygmunt Bauman together with its criticism, followed by concepts of Hannah Arendt and Dan Stone. The first part describes Bauman's conception of the Holocaust, which is based primarily on the role of modernity, German anti-Semitism, bureaucracy and morality.
