Analysis of throws in handball and their dependence on the speed and efficiency of the shot

Abstract:

Házená je kolektivní sport, který patří mezi tzv. kontaktní sporty, ale je v ní zásadní především využití střelby na branku, která zahrnuje hod vrchem. Hod vrchem můžeme rozdělit na 3 nejčastější typy: hod jednoruč vrchem z výskoku, hod jednoruč vrchem ze země a hod jednoruč vrchem obtažením. V současné době není jasné, který z těchto typů hodu se podílí na největší rychlosti a účinnosti střely Proto je hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce zanalyzovat, změřit a porovnat 3 nečastější typy hodů v házené a zjistit, který z nich se podílí na největší rychlosti a účinnosti v dosahované střele na bránu u extraligového házenkářského týmu žen DHC Sokol Poruba. Výzkumného šetření se zúčastnilo 15 profesionálně trénovaných hráček (průměrný věk - (22,06 ? 2,12 let), hmotnost - (67,6 ? 4,98 kg), výška - (167,47 ? 4,17 cm) a BMI - (24,27 ? 1,41). Při testování maximální rychlosti střel bylo použito radarové zařízení Net Playz Speed Radar. Následná analýza dat prostřednictvím MS Excel prokázala, že nejvyšší průměrné rychlosti v dosahované střele dosahovaly hráčky při hodu jednoruč vrchem z výskoku (75,04 ? 4,98 km/h), oproti střele ze země (74,72 ? 7,75 km/h) a střele podstřelem (73,2? 6,62 km/h). Pro zjištění statistické významnosti byl použit test ANOVA - Analysis of Variance's, který neprokázal statisticky významný rozdíl rychlosti střelby v závislosti na jejich technice (p = 0,181; F = 1,82; ?p2 = 0,115), nicméně dle výsledků lze posoudit střelbu z výskoku jako nejrychlejší typ hodu. Věcná významnost rozdílů byla dále posouzena Cohenovým D pro opakované měření (effect size - ES). Ty byly napříč technikami hodu posouzeny jako hodnoty (ES) - 0,12,0,6 a 0,51. To znamená, že na základě? výsledků této práce můžeme uvažovat o doporučení?, trenérům a samotným hráčům věnovat se střelbě z výskoku, ale také nezapomínat na střelbu ze země i z podstřelu, jelikož jejich maximální hodnoty dosahovaných střel se signifikantně nelišily a je nutno podotknout rozmanitost střel napříč různými posty. Nicméně nejdříve by toto téma mělo být podrobeno podrobnějšímu šetření.

Abstract:

Handball is a collective sport that is one of the so-called contact sports, but it is especially crucial to use shots on goal, which involves a throw on the top. We can divide a throw on the top into the 3 most common types: a one-handed throw on the top of the jump, a one-handed throw on the top of the ground, and a one-handed throw eith undershot. It is currently unclear which of these types of throws is involved in the highest shot velocity and efficiency Therefore, the main goal of this Bachelor thesis is to analyze, measure and compare the 3 most frequent types of throws and determine which of them is involved in the greatest speed and efficiency in the reached shot at the gate by the DHC Sokol Poruba women's extra-league handball team. The research survey involved 15 professionally trained female players (average age - (22.06 ? 2.12 years), weight - (67.6 ? 4.98 kg), height - (167.47 ? 4.17 cm) and BMI - (24.27 ? 1.41). The Net Playz Speed Radar was used to test the missiles' maximum velocity. Subsequent data analysis by MS Excel demonstrated that the highest average speeds in a missile range were achieved by female players at a one-handed throw from a jump (75.04 ? 4.98 km/h), compared to a ground shot (74.72 ? 7.75 km/h) and an under-shot shot (73.2 ? 6.62 km/h). An ANOVA - Analysis of Variance's test was used to determine statistical significance and did not show a statistically significant difference in shooting rate depending on their technique (p = 0.181; F = 1.82; ?p2 = 0.115), however, based on the results, the shot from the jump can be judged as the fastest type of throw. The material significance of the differences was further assessed by Cohen's D for repetitive measurement (EFFECT size - ES). These were assessed across throw techniques as values (ES) of 0,12,0,6 and 0,51, respectively. This means that, based on the results of this work, we can consider recommendations, coaches and the players themselves to address the jump shot, but also not to forget the ground and undershot shots, since their maximum values of missiles achieved were not significantly different and it is necessary to note the diversity of missiles across different posts. However, the subject should be investigated in more detail first.
