Public point of view on partners fidelity and infidelity

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá názory veřejnosti na partnerskou věrnost a nevěru. V teoretické části nejprve definuji pojmy věrnost a nevěra. Následně pohlížím na nevěru v historickém kontextu, zmiňuji určité evoluční determinanty nevěry, rozdílnosti monogamního a polygamního chování, ale také kulturní a náboženské vlivy. Dále se zabývám typologií nevěr, jejími příčinami a výskytem. Poslední kapitola je věnována charakteristice postojů, názorů a veřejnému mínění. Výzkumná část je založena na kvantitativním přístupu s využitím dotazníkové metody. Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit především názory veřejnosti na partnerskou věrnost a nevěru, zkušenosti veřejnosti s nevěrou, zmapovat, jak si věrnost stojí v hodnotovém systému dotazovaných respondentů, a v neposlední řadě se zaměřuji na odlišnosti odpovědí mužů a žen.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with opinions of the public related to fidelity and infidelity between partners. In the theoretical part, the terms fidelity and infidelity are defined. After that, infidelity is discussed from the point of view of historical context. Then, some evolutionary determinants of infidelity are mentioned as well as differences between monogamous and polygamous behavior and cultural and religious influences. Then typology, occurrence and causes of infidelity are discussed. The last chapter is dedicated to the characteristics of attitudes, views and public opinion. The research is based on a quantitative approach via survey questionnaires. The aim of this bachelor thesis is above all to reveal opinions of the public about fidelity and infidelity between partners, respondents? experience with infidelity and position of fidelity on the scale of values. Last but not least, the differences in men?s and women?s answers are discussed.
