Intensive and extensive development in the automotive industry and its evaluation

Abstract:

Předmětem této magisterské práce je mezipodnikové srovnání podniků v automobilovém průmyslu a následné vyhodnocení jejich intenzivního a extenzivního vývoje. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na stanovení finančních zdrojů dat, popis metod a zhodnocení jejich vypovídacích schopností a vlastní mezipodnikové srovnání. Součástí této části je také představení alternativní metody hodnocení růstu společností v podobě intenzivních a extenzivních faktorů v rámci specifického výzkumu vedeného na VŠFS. Budou představeny vybrané společnosti a zvolený obor. Praktická část obsahuje sběr dat a informací z výročních zpráv, které mohou být užity pro objasnění vývoje vybraných společností. V rámci specifického výzkumu budou uplatněny tyto finanční ukazatele – efektivnost, tempa růstu zisku, tržeb, nákladů a tempo růstu efektivnosti a ukazatele intenzivního a extenzivního růstu. V rámci Du Pontova rozkladu budou hodnoceny rentabilita vlastního kapitálu – ROE, rentabilita tržeb – ROS, finanční páka a obratovost aktiv, dále tempa růstu těchto finančních ukazatelů a jejich procentuální vliv na vývoji ukazatele rentability vlastního kapitálu – ROE. V závěru práce na základě vyhodnocení bude potvrzena nebo vyvrácena hypotéza, zdali ekonomický vývoj vybraných společností je převážně intenzivní a zdali hlavní vliv na ukazatel rentability vlastního kapitálu ROE má rentabilita tržeb ROS.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is the comparison between the companies in the automotive industry and the subsequent evaluation of their intensive and extensive development. The theoretical part focuses on the determination of financial data sources, description of methods and evaluation of their explanatory power and its own intercompany evaluation. This part will also show alternative methods for assessing the growth of companies in the form of intensive and extensive factors within the specific research conducted at VSFS. Selected companies and selected fields will be presented. The practical part contains a collection of data from the annual reports that can be used to explain the development of selected companies. The research will contain these specifically applied financial indicators - efficiency, growth rate of earnings, revenues, expenses and the growth rate and efficiency intensive and extensive growth indicators. In the context of Du Pont’s breakdown, equity and return on sales will be assessed, leverage and asset turnaround as well as the rate of growth of these financial indicators and their percentage impact on the development of indicators on return on equity- ROE. In conclusion, on the basis of the evaluation, the hypothesis of whether economic development of selected companies is mostly intense and whether the major impact on the indicator of return on equity ROE is return on sales ROS.
