How lesbians perceive attitudes of society on their sexual orientation

Abstract:

Tématem magisterské diplomové práce jsou homosexuálně orientované ženy, konkrétně to, jak ony samy vnímají postoje a názory společnosti na jejich sexuální orientaci. Teoretická část nejprve vymezuje postoje a názory společnosti k homosexualitě od prvopočátku po současnost. Také popisuje, co je to homosexualita a pojmy s ní související. Pak na homosexualitu nahlíží z pohledu různých vědních disciplín a nakonec ji ukazuje v kontextu života obyčejných lidí. Empirická část skrze kvalitativní výzkum popisuje to, jak ve skutečnosti lesbičky vnímají postoje a názory společnosti na jejich sexuální orientaci. Práce poskytuje náhled na to, jak se tyto postoje měnily v průběhu let, od prvních dnů, kdy si lesbičky začaly svoji homosexualitu uvědomovat až po současnost, kdy již mají ve svém citovém životě jasno.

Abstract:

Master thesis is focused on homosexually oriented woman, concretely how they themselves perceive attitudes and opinions of society on their sexual orientation. The theoretical part firstly defines attitudes and opinions of society towards homosexuality from the beginning to the present. Also describes what is homosexuality and what is associated with it. Then homosexuality is seen from different discipline and finally it shows in the context of the lives of ordinary people. The empiric part, through a qualitative research, describes how in fact lesbian perceive attitudes and opinions of society on their sexual orientation. The work provides insight into how these attitudes have changed over the years, from the early days, when lesbians began to realize their sexuality to the present, when already have in their emotional lives clear.
