Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na studium proteinu BMI1 a argininové metyltransferázy 1 (PRMT1), zejména na jejich funkci v reparaci dvouřetězcových zlomů. Protein BMI1 se podílí na formování heterochromatinu v oblastech dvouřetězcových zlomů a jeho vazba k DNA je umožněna enzymatickou aktivitou metyltransferázy Ezh2. Abstract:
This diploma thesis is focused on the protein BMI1 and arginine methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1), in particular on their function during repair of double-strand breaks. Protein BMI1 participates in the formation of heterochromatin in the areas with double-strand breaks and its binding to DNA is facilitated by the enzymatic activity of methyltransferase Ezh2.
