The role of social stigmatization in the life of political prisoners in the fifties

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá vlivem sociální stigmatizace na sociální identitu a sociální zakotvení politických vězňů padesátých let. Teoretická část je tvořena třemi kapitolami. První kapitola je zaměřena na vymezení pojmu sociální stigmatizace a na objasnění související problematiky norem, deviací a sociální exkluze. Druhá kapitola vysvětluje podstatu sociální identity a význam sociálního zakotvení. Třetí kapitola je věnována problematice politických vězňů padesátých let, která je zde nahlížena ve společensko-historickém kontextu. Empirická část práce obsahuje popis metodologických postupů, charakteristiku výzkumného souboru, průběh a výsledky kvalitativního výzkumu. K zodpovězení výzkumné otázky byla použita kombinace dvou výzkumných metod - metody polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a projektivní metody testu čáry života. Sociální stigmatizace vnímaná politickými vězni padesátých let je interpretována v kategoriích, které vznikly analýzou získaných dat.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with an effect of social stigmatization on social identity and a social fixture of political prisoners in the fifties. The theoretical part consists of three chapters. The first chapter focuses on the definition of the term social stigmatization and on clarification of related issues of regulations, deviations and social exclusion. The second chapter explains the essence of social identity and the significance of social fixture. The third chapter is devoted to the issue of political prisoners in the fifties, which is percieved within a social-historical context. The empirical part contains the description of methodological procedures, the specification of the research sample, process and results of qualitative research. Combination of two research methods was used to answer the research question - the technique of a half-structured interview and the projective method of life line test. Social stigmatization perceived by political prisoners in the fifties is interpreted in categories that were created via the analysis of the data obtained.
